03

Testing Navigation

You’d like to find out more about the author, how would you go about doing that?

Results

01

Users expressed difficulty in purchasing books, as the website does not currently direct link to purchase books.  Having a direct link to purchase from suzannecollinsbooks.com will alleviate this issue. Data collected showed that 83% of users chose Amazon.com as their preferred website for purchasing their books

03

100% of users chose to navigate to the Biography page when looking for information on the author, while only 50% chose to visit the interview page, only after visiting the Biography page. Combining the most important information into a single page should give the reader a better understanding of who Suzanne Collins is.

02

Users expressed concerns with usability, as the layout of the website was not easy to navigate and caused confusion.  Moving from a sidebar layout, to a traditional layout with a footer, sorting books in order of release, as well as genre, should make usability easier.

04

67% of users used their mobile devices as their preferred method for browsing the internet, with 50% choosing Chrome as their preferred browser.  With this said, enhancing the user experience for mobile devices and Chrome browsers should be key in the redesign.

“I want a button that says “buy,” and then choose where to buy.”

“I would want more little nuggets … shorter paragraphs that are more topic-specific per section.”
